Qatar National Day

Qatar National Day is the most significant day in the country. It is the national commemoration of Qatar's unification in 1878. It is a great opportunity to have Koora Time take part in the country's national celebration, as it introduces this great initiative to the wider local community, and gives them the chance to be part of a successful programme that focuses on the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle through football. Since 2017, Koora Time has executed a National Day event at Darb Al Saai.

Koora Time National Day 2018

55,000 participants. Qatar Shell and Qatar Football Association (QFA) celebrated the Qatar National Day at Darb Al Saai in 2018, with their award-winning initiative Koora Time, offering an open football pitch and activities for all ages. Over the course of the 12-day celebration, Koora Time hosted a traditional Tembah tournament for local youth, with 96 students participating from 16 different primary schools across Qatar. There was also open play football for all age groups, and a majlis with a virtual reality goal keeper game and other activities for younger children. Former and current football players visited and participated in Koora Time's National Day event. The involvement of the players had a great impact on the school children, as they had a chance to experience the positive values of non-competitive football.

Koora Time National Day 2017

22,000 participants. 22,000 visitors flocked to Koora Time's National Day event, held at Darb Al Saai. The award-winning initiative, Koora Time, offered activities that were in line with the vision and objectives of the programme, an open football pitch and activities for all ages. Over the course of the 12-day celebration, Koora Time hosted a football tournament for local youth, provided an open pitch for all age groups, and hosted a majlis with a virtual reality goal keeper game, as well as other activities for younger children.
